Wax and EOM
Wax and EOM are yet another edition to the revival of hip hop! They will be making heads turn in 2010. With Wax"s humorous yet sporadically deep lyrics and EOM's compositions they make for a good combination. There's nothing better then the right balance of music with intense yet entertaining lyricism. With the release of " Liquid Courage " they have created an instant underground hip hop classic! It may not be recognized as one yet but it in due time it will receive the acclaim that it should. Again we're coming across another element of where hip hop is headed.
Lyrically up there in the ranks with Prince EA, Wax holds it down in a way that touches on important subjects yet isn't overly serious and mind boggling. Combine that with the ear pleasing sounds EOM is throwing together and you have a substance sure to induce states of euphoria. Now I haven't heard the entire album so I can't gloat over them too much but I am impressed by most of what I have heard.
Lighting the Wic
I first came across Wax when I saw his collaboration " Get Busy " with Prince EA and I wasn't all that impressed. I mean in that particular video my first impression was that he was kinda goofy, so that was a plus, but he hadn't really grabbed my attention yet.Just recently I've been giving him a closer look when I realized some of these independent rappers that are found on the internet deserve more recognition. That's when I saw how ill this cat really is.
Then I saw some of his freestyles and his newer videos and can see the undeniable value he has to present. Will you see it too? Blessed with the talents of lyricism, musical talent, and the ability to even sing I expect some good things to come from this guy.
The Cause of Collaboration
Then out of nowhere comes EOM to add to what's already good.
Brought together through the magic of Myspace and Youtube, the two elements combine to create the alchemical formula for producing gold! Myspace and Youtube are fast becoming the vehicles to transform this overly saturated and overly controlled media market. They're helping to bring together talented people and further helping them to create an income off of what they love to do. Thanks to Myspace and Youtube we now have an incredible array of good underground hip hop coming out of the wood works. Be on the look out for future productions by Wax and EOM!
