Starting his life in Lima Peru his family soon made the move to Harlem to escape the constant drama going on around them. No doubt his memories from Peru mixed with his experiences in Harlem and helped to make him into the political activist he has become today. His run ins with the law and his inability to get a job afterwards helped to push him toward a music career. Combining his passion of music with his passion over political issues he has become a pillar of social statements. The RevolutionWith his first two albums labled Revolutionary he has set himself up to be the leader of a political revolution!
Highly intelligent and highly educated he hits you with an immense amount of information within his raps. You must listen closely and try to gain an understanding of what he speaks about. There's a truth in his words and a message that needs to be heard. Ranging from modern day occurances to historical battles his content illustrates how we got to where we're at today. True ValueStaying true to his values he has a way of telling stories that paint a picture of the evils that man do for money and power.His passion for what he has to say shines through in his work. His resistance to conform is probably why he remains a main component of the underground hip hop community.
Stay true to yourself, your beliefs, and your values. Don't be little BITCH and sell your soul just to get rich and famous! Hip hop is about having a message close to heart and delivering that message to the best of your ability. It's not about getting rich! While obviously making money is desirable for survival, you should be pursuing a career in hip hop because you have a message to deliver and great music to be heard. For that matter that should apply to anything you do in life. Don't do it for the money. Do it for the love. 
Ehhh....I'm diverging way off topic here...but these are the kinds of thoughts that Immortal Technique brings to mind when I hear what he has to say. Check out some of his music. His albums are Revolutionary Vol. 1, Revolutionary Vol.2, ant The 3rd World. Be prepared to listen though. He is another underground rapper that loads his music with intense concepts and information.
