DiabolicDiabolic is one of those devils hidden in underground hip hop.Having notable collaborations with other underground rappers such as Vinnie Paz and Immortal Technique he has quite the portfolio.
Dude is incredibly lyrical and dangerously intelligent. Displaying that intelligence in every track!!! Anyone who raps will certainly identify with his track " I Don't Wanna Rhyme ". There are times where I feel exactly this way. Always on the edge. The only difference is I'm not that violent.....yet...ha ha. Its a strange game that'll cause a change, While I try to maintain a sane brain. I suppose change is an inevitable consequence of life though...adapt or perish! Revolutionary ThoughtsHe says that he isn't a conscious rapper but some of his raps make a substantial political statement.I put Diabolic right up there in the ranks along side Immortal Technique when it comes to revealing some of the things out there. Not just that but speaking articulately and refusing to dumb it down. It's men of this caliber that hip hop needs more of. Hip hop is the result of freedom of speech! It needs to be used as a tool! For things like expanding the awareness of the population to the vast variety of truths out there. Yes, hip hop is a form of entertainment, so yes it should also be about entertaining the listeners, but it is a modern day vehicle that can and should be used to help open up minds to the possibilities. It has the power to bring information to people. If done right it can be delivered in such a way that listening to this tsunami of information can be enjoyable. Don't just accept the reality that has been painted before you by other people.
Question authority. Question everything until you find the answers that ring true to your soul. That's what people like Diabolic and Immortal Technique do for hip hop and hip hop listeners. They challenge and stimulate revolutionary thoughts. Things would never advance without stirring the shit once in a while! Liar and a ThiefViper Records has him scheduled to release his debut album on April 26, 2010 entitled Liar and a Thief.
I personally have high expectations for this album and eagerly await its release. You gotta give it to him for standing by his values and sticking to his guns. It's not easy to do and say what everyone is opposing. Especially when those your speaking out against are in high positions of authority. In the past he has released a number of tracks. On his mixtape " Foul Play " his song " Master Plan " feat. AKIR is a statement against the way the industry waters down genuine talent. He said, " Its information overdose, if you don't see it comatose..." ha ha ha...that's wus up! Wake up from the coma! Read, write, listen, watch and most of all take action!
