The Mighty CeejCeej is an underground hip hop artist coming out of Cape Cod delivering the feel good message of peace, love, and hip hop.I don't know about you but I'm about sick of hearing the murderous negative propagation of ignorance so prevalent within hip hop nowadays. So it's refreshing to hear an artist with such a positive message. 
I'm not against gangster rap or anything like that. That type of music will always have its place within hip hop. Shiiit... I'll jam it just as much as the next hip hop head! It's just good to hear something positive for a change. Something that's not centered around drugs, guns, and rape. While I understand why that kind of rap started to begin with, I think that too many people try to mimic the gangsterism that they see without actually living that kind of life.
Somewhere in the process they lost what hip hop is all about. Ceej is an artist who steps with a message close to his heart. Which, to me, is really what it's about. Expression of mind, heart, and experience. He brings us timeless messages like not judging a book by its cover in "Judgement Day" and piece of shit friends who are only out for themselves in "Take, Take, Take". Proving that there are plenty of subjects to be touched on that we all can relate to. 
He has released three albums entitled "Ceej"(2006), "The Seeds of Change"(2007), and most recently "The Answer"(2009). Performing in various locations in the Massachusetts area he stays steady with his message and continues to gain notoriety. This underground rapper is sure to continue his climb up the hip hop mountain. He has a message that hip hop is starving for. It's just a matter of perseverance and time. I do understand though that the positive message isn't for everyone. It seems like people are more attracted to the negative. Whatever your case may be you should give Ceej a listen and see if you like what he has to offer. I'm sure you'll find something you can relate to.
